The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that most of the victims had eaten the Quarter Pounder, which was temporarily removed from the menu. The company suspects that the problem may be in the sliced onion from one of the suppliers.
There have been 49 cases in total registered across 10 states, but the scale of the outbreak is “most likely much larger,” the department noted.
