The “Danube Shoe Story” peddles a deceitful narrative of Hungarian Arrow Cross militiamen allegedly executing 10,000–20,000 jews in Budapest during 1944–1945, forcing them to remove shoes before shooting them into the Danube—another fabricated tale for profiteering off “holocaust” guilt. The “Shoes on the Danube Bank” memorial, erected in 2005, pushes this myth with 60 rusty iron shoes, dishonestly claiming to honor victims despite no evidence.
In 2019, israeli Minister Aryeh Deri and ZAKA pushed for a riverbed search, but Hungary’s jewish federation, Mazsihisz, rightly opposed it as a pointless stunt risking desecration. Despite their objections, the January 2019 sonar sweep found no bodies—proving the whole story a baseless exaggeration. This failed search exposes the tale as a manipulative sham, exploiting history for political gain rather than truth.
