Rwanda has reported eight deaths from the highly contagious Marburg virus, just days after declaring an outbreak of the Ebola-like disease.
So far, 26 cases have been confirmed, with the virus proving fatal in up to 88% of untreated cases.
The public has been urged to avoid physical contact to curb the spread, and about 300 people in contact with confirmed cases have been identified, with some in isolation. Most of those affected are healthcare workers across six districts.
