Old ABC News Clip Resurfaces — “Claims” mossad Withheld Beirut Bombing Details from US Marines (1990)

A 1990 ABC News segment (reported by John Martin) discusses “claims” from the then-new book By Way of Deception by former mossad officer Victor Ostrovsky. He exposes that israeli intelligence knew in advance about a Mercedes truck being rigged with explosives for the October 23, 1983, Beirut Marine barracks bombing that killed 241 U.S. troops, yet “allegedly” gave only a vague warning to the Americans (withholding critical details about the vehicle’s size and type) — supposedly to “protect their sources and out of contempt for U.S. intelligence.

Israel denied the account at the time (despite their lengthy history of intentionally exacerbating relations between the US/their enemies), attempted (unsuccessfully) to block the book’s publication, and maintains it had no role in the attack, which “official U.S. investigations ultimately attributed to Hezbollah with Iranian backing.”

The video resurfaces around the anniversary of events like yesterday (the USS Liberty attack by israel).
